A teal and black underbust corset constructed from cotton coutil, teal satin back dupion and black satin for boning channels. Boned with 12 spring steels with a steel busk closure. Finished with black satin bias binding and navy blue ribbon.
Thankyou very much I would say that it is generally better/easier to take up corsetry if you have some sewing experience already. So if you have none at all it might help to try some smaller projects first. However if you just want to go for it there are some books which might help:
Jill Salen's "Corsets" Norah Waugh's "Corsets and Crinolines" - these are very much historically orientated.
